19th ANNUAL SCHOOL SAFETY SUMMIT
October 2nd, 2014
From Our Backyard to the Nation's Capital, Keeping Students Safe One Day at a Time
REGISTRATION for this event is now closed. If you would like to be put on a waiting list, please email Stephanie Guyotte at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This conference will feature a comprehensive look at school safety from the bottom up and all levels in between – from the immensely personal journey of a mother who lost her daughter at the tragic school shooting in Newtown, CT, to efforts in Middlesex County and throughout Massachusetts to keep students safe, as outlined in a new report commissioned by the Governor. Along with the insight into the local issues, two experienced federal officials will offer a national view on school safety and security including behavioral analysis of characteristics of those who commit violence, ways to improve the effectiveness of threat assessment teams, and prevention and response by local officials to the most common safety threats in their schools.
