DSM-5 Childhood Disorders and Their Impact on Youth

Featured speaker

• Andrew Gersten, Ph.D.

The fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) was published in 2013 but its arrival was fraught with controversy. One area of concern amongst clinicians, educators, and families has been about the changes affecting youth. This workshop will highlight the structural and categorical changes in DSM-5, the major differences between the 4th and 5th editions, and the disorders most impacting youth.
