How to Support Those at Risk of Suicide

This workshop trains professionals who care for and support those considered at a high risk for suicide. Participants will learn about Samaritans’ services, facts and myths of suicide, risk factors, and warning signs. Participants will also learn how to talk to an individual who may be suicidal and basic steps in getting a suicidal person help. This workshop is presented by Samaritans, Inc. This presentation is only available to staff.

MPY members, districts and other entities may receive up to 5 FREE in-service workshops each school year. In-service workshops are presented on-site. A minimum attendance of 25 is required per training. Each district/organization conducts its own preregistration. If a drop in attendance is anticipated or need to cancel, please call MPY, Inc. at least 48 hours in advance.
